WINTER ISN'T DONE: That cold front that comes through Sunday night means business! Expect snow showers to form Monday midday, eventually accumulating into the evening & overnight. The snow continues through Tuesday, before tapering off by the afternoon.
When it's all said & done Tuesday, several inches of snow is likely across much of the area. It will NOT stick around long, though... a couple of days at most. Spring sunshine returns late week to knock out any accumulated snow. 🙂

SUN PM UPDATE: We are #2 out of 5 on the risk scale for severe weather Sunday night. I want to reiterate my confidence here that this will NOT be a repeat of the past two weeks with a strong tornado threat. Totally different physics. This risk area is in place by NOAA's Storm Prediction Center for the chance of a few severe wind gusts along a cold front 8p-2a Sunday night.
I personally think the local risk for severe weather is pretty low for several reasons. The local environmental dynamics in place are not even comparable to what we were tracking together last week. However, I still want to make sure you have the latest data to combat the online hype, so I'll continue to update my thoughts through the weekend. Timing is 8p - 2a EDT. A higher threat does exist for Central/Southern Indiana.
This is the cold front that will knock temperatures from 70s on Sunday to 20s by Tuesday, with accumulating snow Monday PM & Tuesday.

I often take the South Shore Line for work, but today I’m being a Chicago tourist and going to watch some Purdue basketball! I love not having to worry about driving, parking, etc… all for $16 from SB Airport!
A *LOT* of people on here for the St Patrick’s Day festivities. I didn’t get the memo… no green on me, black and gold is all I’ve got. Oops…!
